Apartamentos Dsiena Valladolid

Discover Valladolid, Yucatán

Valladolid is one of the so-called Magical Towns and also one of the most pleasant and beautiful cities in the Yucatan Peninsula. Filled with pastel-colored colonial houses, a spectacular main square, several museums to visit and even cenotes within the city center itself, it is a place worth spending time in. If you add to that the fact that one of the 7 Wonders of the World, Chichén Itzá, is just a 30-minute drive away, you're sure to be looking forward to visiting it.

Casa de los Venados

Visiting this corner of Valladolid is quite an experience, not only because you'll enjoy a huge number of wonderful pieces, but because you'll actually be walking through a charming colonial house where its owners still live.

Parque Principal Francisco Cantón Rosado

Almost any visit a Valladolid begins with its Plaza or Main Park. Named in honor of Francisco Cantón Rosado, a 19th century Valladolid politician and military man, this is the liveliest area of the city and where you will find people at almost any time of day.

The “La Mestiza” fountain stands out, representing a Yucatecan woman in traditional clothing with a vase on her arm that was made to commemorate the union of Mayan and Hispanic cultures. Around the fountain you can find the typical confidant chairs, benches facing each other to enjoy an outdoor conversation, so typical of this region of Mexico. Of course, you will also find stands selling botanas (snacks) and, when the sun begins to set, delicious marquesitas.
